We want you to become the best version of yourself.Join us as an AI and Data Science ManagerAn experienced thought leader in the application of Data Science, AI, statistics and datamining techniques. As well as excellent technical skills, the candidate will have strong commercial and business acumen and people leadership skills.The ability to approach business problems in an innovative way, to be able to communicate the output of analytical exercises and a proven track record in delivering actionable insight to the business are critical components of this role.Three Ireland are beginning a digital transformation and putting the building blocks in place to build an analytical driven future. The Advanced Analytics Manager will be expected to lead the strategy and vision for the company as it moves to Big Data.What else it involves:
  • Lead and guide the Data Science team in delivering analytical and AI solutions for the organisation.
  • Bring analytics and AI thought leadership and innovation to Three and ensure that analytical models are developed & utilised to drive business performance.
  • Contribute to the further development of AI use cases, AI technology and AI policy considering analytics infrastructure including data sources used.
  • Create and deliver the strategy for AI and data science in Three.
  • Design, implement and manage the infrastructure & processes needed for model management, deployment & maintenance.
  • Create an operating model for the team that ensures governed ways of working and delivering transparent and governed data solutions.
  • Create an engagement model for stakeholders that ensures transparent ways of working with the whole organisation.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with technology partners, internal and external business, and technical stakeholders * Working closely with the CRM and Commercial teams to identify innovative AI and analytical opportunities to drive a business benefit.
  • Own the prioritisation process and roadmap for all Data Science and AI work. Manage the team to ensure delivery of quality insight within agreed timelines.
  • Conduct performance management & regular reviews and feedback sessions with team. Ensure appropriate training & development of team members
The skills we`re looking for:
  • Previous experience at manager level is required. People management experience which should include motivation skills, setting objectives, coaching for performance and giving feedback
  • Working knowledge of Big Data technologies, AI and Data Science techniques.
  • Hold a relevant primary degree in mathematics, computer science, statistics, or a relevant numerate degree.
  • Post graduate qualification a plus.
  • Knowledge of Data Mining and Machine Learning techniques including Decision Trees, Regression Analysis, Logistic Regression, KMeans etc.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Methods such as hypothesis testing.
  • Knowledge of AI i.e. its application, use case development, technology required and policy impact on the business.
  • Experienced user of R, Python or other similar tools.
  • Strong SQL (Teradata experience a bonus).
  • Strong knowledge and comprehension of technology and data management techniques used in the process of collecting, storing and retrieving data.
