**First Year Apprentice Vacancy** Stainless Quality Fabrication (SQ Fabs) specializes in the Design and Fabrication of stainless steel products for the pharmaceutical, dairy and architectural industry. Due to continuous growth, we are looking for 2 Metal Fabrication apprentices. Job Summary Metal Fabricators require many skills including: • Working with a variety of specialised hand and power tools • Knowledge of a range of metal fabrication processes • Performing a range of welding processes - TIIG MIG and Manual Arc • Interpreting technical drawings and specifications • Measuring, marking out, cutting and welding stainless steel plate and pipe Job Type / Category Hours are 8.00 to 4.30 Required Education, Skills and Qualifications Pass in five Leaving Cert subjects including Maths and preferably one Technical subject. Must have the ability to • Plan and organise • Communicate effectively • Solve problems • Work independently and as part of a team • Show a positive attitude • Recognise the need for good customer relations • Demonstrate good work practices including time keeping, tidiness, responsibility, quality awareness and safety awareness Benefits A typical programme will include * Guidance and support from experienced engineers and Fabricators in this field * Register as apprentice with Solas training and attend block releases across a number of phases through the 4 year apprenticeship cycle, this will require travel to one of the Technical institutions * Adhere to all on-site safety and quality procedures Job Type: Apprenticeship
