We are looking for the right person to become part of long-established business which produces high quality furniture products for the domestic and international markets Sewing Machinist and Cutter Pattern Marking and Cutting Perform all marking out and fabric cutting and machining duties as required Laying out templates and marking up patterns Maintaining attention to detail and maximising material utilisation Care and attention to pattern matching and sewing preparation Sewing Machinist Operating of variety of heavy duty industrial sewing machines, overlockers and twin needle machines, fabric cutting machines and hand tools Preparing fabric components for sewing operations Carrying out pre sewing work and initial stitching processes Carrying out detailed finish stitching Preparing pipework and zip inserts Maintaining quality of workmanship at all times to highest standard Performing quality control checks throughout and at final stages of operation Previous sewing experience is essential for this role, however it does not need to be furniture related
