Access Healthcare is looking for a dedicated and passionate Psychiatric Nurse to join a dynamic team where they’ll make a real difference, grow their skills, and become a vital part of the mental health community in Galway!The role will be based in Galway City in a clinic for Service Users Suffering from Addiction. Along with meeting basic compliance, the ideal Psychiatric Nurse will have extensive experience in this setting. The basis of this role is agency, where you will have regular guidance and consultancy with Access Healthcare Consultants.The role will commence in October 2025 for 3-6 months with the potential to continue.Hours: 9am – 5pmMonday – FridayPay Rates: 28.00 – 35.00 per hourWhat the role will entail:

Bio Psychosocial Comprehensive Assessment – Focusing on Alcohol and Substance use
Brief interventions and signposting
Onboarding and training provided
Gathering of statistics
Building and maintaining relationships
Clinical Governance from a Consultant Psychiatrist

What You Need

Bachelors Degree in Psychiatric Nursing
Experience in a healthcare setting in Ireland
Practical Trainings: CPR, Patient Handling and MAPA/TCI/PMAV/Studio III
Experience in this setting is highly desirable
