Job DescriptionOccupational Therapist – Clinical Specialist NeurologyCpl Healthcare in partnership with Tallaght University Hospital (TUH) are currently recruiting for a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist for a specialist role working as part of consultant led multi-disciplinary team in a dedicated Regional Specialist Memory Service (RSMC).As a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert input into the care of those with complex motor-cognitive syndromes, e.g. Huntington’s disease; Lewy body dementias; other atypical parkinsonian syndromes such as Progressive Supranuclear Palsy/ Corticobasal Syndrome, and frontotemporal dementia.Key Duties and Responsibilities of the role include:· Deliver expert Occupational Therapy advice and clinical care in the RSMC, in particular in relation to those presenting with motor-cognitive syndromes.· Clinical leadership role in the Institute of Memory and Cognition, supporting other Occupational therapists working in this area.TUH is one of Ireland’s largest acute teaching hospitals with 450 beds .The Hospital has 450 adult beds and is one of the two main academic teaching hospitals of Trinity College Dublin.This position offers the following benefits:· Excellent salary, relocation package and training and development opportunities.· Permanent employment contract including sponsorship of a critical skills employment permit if required· Competitive salary depending on experience (€65,793 - €76,348)· 35 hour working week· Relocation and onboarding package including flights, accommodation allowance to the value or €4,700 for overseas applicants· Assistance with registration with CORU, the Health & Social Care Professionals regulatory authority· Induction and orientation program on arrival· Generous annual leave (30 days) and public holiday (10 days) entitlements per year· Excellent supervision and a focus on developing assessment and interventions strengths as well as continuous Training and Development sessions with a dedicated and individualised training plan· Further career progression opportunities within the serviceCandidates interested in the role must have:· A recognised qualification as an Occupational Therapist and professional registration in your country of practice· Eligible to apply for recognition and registration as an Occupational Therapist with CORU ( ru.ie), the Health & Social Care Professionals regulatory authority in Ireland· At least 5 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience, with significant experience in neurology including treating patients with neurodegenerative disorders (Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s disease) and movement disorders.· Experience in the supervision of senior and junior occupational therapists and/or students and/or therapy assistants· Demonstrate achievement in clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development, teaching and/or research· Police clearance from any country lived or worked in for 6 months or more· Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team· Flexibility in work practice· Excellent verbal and written EnglishFor further information, email your c.v. to or call Brian Murray on + / +Ref: JO-2403-532220
