Our client is looking for a Project Quantity Surveyor to work phased new commercial project in County Limerick. This is a long-term development and will offer several years work in the surrounding areas.In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and be responsible for overseeing various projects across Ireland.With a strong reputation in the industry, our client offers an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects of residential developments.Responsibilities for this Project Quantity Surveyor Role:
  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation for commercial projects.
  • Conduct thorough quantity take-offs and cost planning to ensure accurate project costing.
  • Coordinate and oversee the procurement process, including subcontractor and supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and adherence to procurement policies.
  • Administer and manage construction contracts, reviewing terms and conditions, assessing variations and claims, and ensuring contractual compliance.
  • Monitor project costs, analyse expenditure, and implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
  • Collaborate closely with the design and construction teams to identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior quantity surveyors and other team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and resolution of any commercial issues.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, changes in regulations, and best practices in quantity surveying.
Requirements for this Proejct Quantity Surveyor Role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management principles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing project finances.
  • Must have at least 4 years experience ideally with main contractor .
  • Eligible to work in Ireland.
  • Full EU Driving License
