- Quality Premium Allowance: €1,450 to €1,650 per year
- Shift Allowance: €6,920 to €7,120 per year
- Qualification Allowance:
- Diploma: €380 annually
- Bachelor’s Degree: €500 annually
- Master’s Degree: €800 annually
- Prepare the operating room for the patient, Anaesthetist, and Surgical team.
- Ensure all necessary anaesthetic equipment is available before surgery.
- Assist the surgical team by connecting equipment and circulating during procedures. • Monitor and care for patients still under the effects of anaesthesia.
- Ensure a sterile environment is maintained at all times.
- Complete swab and instrument checks in accordance with hospital policies.
- Enforce the World Health Organisation’s ‘Safe Surgical Checklist’.
- Provide a clear and concise pre/post-operation handover from Ward/Recovery Nurse to ensure a smooth patient transition.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature.
- Administer oxygen therapy, intravenous fluids, and pain medication as needed.
- React promptly to signs of negative physical changes, calling for assistance and initiating emergency care if necessary.
- Recognised nursing degree.
- Current licensure as a registered nurse with the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Malta (or willingness to obtain it).
- Extensive knowledge of anaesthetic procedures and nursing care methods.
- Knowledge of emergency care and the ability to respond effectively in critical situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good time management, organisational skills, and a professional attitude.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Willingness to stay up to date on nursing trends and techniques.
- Ability to work in either Sliema or Zejtun as required.
- Adherence to company health and safety policies.
- Flexibility to take on additional departmental duties when necessary.
