Catering Assistant

• Assist with food preparation and portioning under supervision.
• Serve meals and beverages to patients in accordance with dietary requirements.
• Deliver and collect food trolleys and trays from wards.
• Clean kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils in line with HACCP guidelines.
• Maintain infection control and food safety standards at all times.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with patients, staff, and colleagues.
• Follow all relevant health, safety, and hygiene protocols.

• Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety practices.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.

• Previous experience in a healthcare or catering environment.
• HACCP certification.
• Manual handling and infection prevention training.
