Role Type: PermanentAbout the RoleOptimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking an Intermediate to Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work locally.The role will involve a mix of office and site-based duties, with a stronger emphasis on office-based commercial management, with the office located close to the project.The initial project is a new-build school, with further commercial projects already lined up, ensuring steady work in the area.Our client has built a strong reputation delivering across both public and private sectors, with a consistent range of projects from smaller works through to larger multi-million euro developments.This is a strong opportunity to join a well-run contractor, gain exposure to a variety of projects, and play a key role within an experienced commercial team.Salary & Benefits

- Lead commercial elements across active construction projects
- Manage cost control, forecasting, and budget tracking effectively
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with obligations
- Assess variations, claims, and entitlements accurately
- Prepare and present detailed commercial reports regularly
- Liaise with site teams to provide commercial support
- Manage subcontractor accounts and agreements professionally
- Support and mentor junior members within the team
- Assist in improving internal commercial procedures
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar discipline
- 3+ years’ experience with a main contractor environment
- Strong knowledge of contract administration and cost reporting
- Experience managing variations and commercial submissions
- Good understanding of construction processes and project delivery
- Strong communication and negotiation abilities
- Full Irish driving licence required
- Irish or UK experience highly advantageous
