- As a Radio Radar Technician (RRT), you will maintain, repair, and provide operational support for critical communications, radar, and electronic navigation systems on Naval Service vessels and shore-based facilities.
- In this role, you'll play a vital part in ensuring the readiness and operational efficiency of naval systems, supporting vital operations at sea and on land.
- Leading Radio Radar Technicians (L/RRTs) will be trained to assume the responsibilities of Petty Officers (PO), managing the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all onboard communication and navigation equipment.
- The role will also involve participating in emergency response and damage control duties, including firefighting and other exercises.
- Citizenship: Irish citizen or legally entitled to work in Ireland
- Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
- Age: Applicants must be between 18 and 39 years of age on the date of application
- Qualifications (or equivalent):
- Basic Salary: €49,543 with yearly increments
- Naval Service Allowance: Approx. €20,570 (tax-free)
- Overseas Service Allowance: Starting at €15,000 per annum, in addition to your salary
