Transport Planner

- Plan and schedule daily transport routes, driver assignments, and equipment allocation
- Act as point of contact for drivers and subcontractors, ensuring service quality
- Handle onboarding and setup of new hauliers
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to resolve service issues or complaints
- Monitor and control transport-related costs
- Support driver training and facilitate relevant accreditations
- Review telematics data to assess driver behaviour and safety performance
- Analyse reports (e.g., mileage, tachographs, maintenance) to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate documentation to support timely invoicing and regulatory standards
- Ensure adherence to company procedures, policies, and external standards (e.g., GDP, ISO, BRC)
- Proven experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, proactive, and results-focused in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in IT systems and data entry with a keen attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence; forklift experience and licence desirable
- Ability to build relationships with internal teams and external partners
- Confident in problem-solving and performance monitoring
