- Establishing and sustaining optimal inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing carrying costs.
- Enforcing inventory control tactics to diminish waste and improve precision.
- Collaborating closely with quality control units to ensure compliance with specified material standards.
- Deploying measures to rectify and prevent material-related quality concerns.
- Conducting cost analysis to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction and process refinement.
- Collaborating with finance teams to craft and oversee materials management budgets.
- Identifying and assessing potential risks linked with owned materials.
- Steering and mentoring a team of materials professionals, cultivating a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as a Materials Manager or in an equivalent position within a manufacturing setting
- Proven experience in strategic planning and execution
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management abilities.
