Location: Manguard Plus HQ, Naas, Co. Kildare. Reports To: Finance Manager Employment Type: Fixed 2 year Contract Salary: €34,000 Hours: 39 per week Job Purpose: The Financial Analyst Officer will play a critical role in supporting the financial management of projects through preparation of reports and briefs, contributing to financial reporting, analysis and maintaining project documentation relating to cost management. Conduct regular and ad-hoc profitability analysis for project customers. Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Profitability Analysis Conduct regular and ad-hoc profitability analysis for project customers. Identify key cost drivers and revenue streams to improve project margins. Work closely with project managers and business analysts to support pricing strategies. 2. Invoicing Prepare and process timely and accurate customer invoices in line with contract terms. Ensure proper documentation and approvals are in place before issuing invoices. Monitor invoice discrepancies and resolve issues with relevant stakeholders. 3. Debtor Reconciliations & Recovery Perform regular debtor account reconciliations, ensuring alignment with customer statements. Follow up on outstanding receivables and implement strategies for timely debt recovery. Maintain and update the debtor aging report and escalate overdue accounts where necessary. 4. Bank Reconciliation Reconcile bank statements against company records regularly. Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. Liaise with the finance team to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded. 5. Month-End Reporting Generate invoicing summaries and project-related financial reports. Support month-end close activities, ensuring accurate project revenue and expense recognition. Assist in preparing reports for internal stakeholders, including variance analysis. 6. Sub-Contractor Process Implementation Develop and implement financial processes for managing subcontractors. Ensure subcontractor invoices and payments align with project budgets and deliverables. Maintain compliance with internal controls and contractual obligations. Qualifications and Skills: Essential: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. 2+ years' experience in a similar financial/project accounting role. Strong understanding of financial reconciliation and reporting processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management systems. Excellent analytical and communication skills. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Desirable: Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, MYOB, etc.) Knowledge of project accounting and cost control principles. Familiarity with subcontractor management processes.
