Aureol Global Connections is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will take charge of managing the financial and contractual aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget. Your leadership will be essential in guiding junior surveyors, preparing accurate cost estimates, and maintaining thorough documentation throughout project delivery. You will work closely with project stakeholders to assess risks, control costs, and implement effective strategies for project success.   • Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets for complex construction projects.
  • Manage project cost control processes, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial reporting.
  • Conduct site assessments and liaise with project teams to monitor progress and resolve financial issues.
  • Prepare and submit tender documents, including Bills of Quantities, and evaluate contractor bids.
  • Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Provide expert advice on claims, variations, and manage disputes effectively.
  • Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors in their professional development.
  • Stay informed on industry best practices, market trends, and regulatory changes impacting projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on large-scale construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimating, and financial management practices.
  • Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make informed financial decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior team members.
  • Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
