- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates and budgets for complex construction projects.
- Manage project cost control processes, ensuring adherence to budgets and financial reporting.
- Conduct site assessments and liaise with project teams to monitor progress and resolve financial issues.
- Prepare and submit tender documents, including Bills of Quantities, and evaluate contractor bids.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers and subcontractors to secure favorable agreements.
- Provide expert advice on claims, variations, and manage disputes effectively.
- Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors in their professional development.
- Stay informed on industry best practices, market trends, and regulatory changes impacting projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on large-scale construction projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimating, and financial management practices.
- Strong proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to make informed financial decisions.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Proven leadership abilities and experience in mentoring junior team members.
- Membership in a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is highly desirable.
