  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance, and repairs across multiple sites, ensuring issues are prioritised and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the Lead Technician to ensure maintenance works are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Complete corrective maintenance activities and ensure all jobs, documentation, and records are accurately recorded and closed out in line with internal procedures.
  • Coordinate and manage sub‑contractors, ensuring works are completed safely, compliantly, cost‑effectively, and to agreed standards.
  • Operate within a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Fire Regulations, Health & Safety requirements, and company policies.
  • Work closely with the Health & Safety team to ensure contractor safety documentation is approved and site safety standards are maintained.
  • Participate in an emergency on‑call rota.
  • Apply systematic root cause analysis and troubleshooting techniques to resolve recurring issues.
  • Order, manage, and maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts.
  • Undertake mechanical maintenance and repairs including plumbing, drainage, water heaters, and related systems.
  • Carry out minor electrical works such as re‑lamping and basic fault identification (within scope of qualifications).
  • Complete ad‑hoc building repairs including flooring, ceilings, tiling, painting, and general fabric maintenance.
  • Complete quarterly PPM audits and support site readiness for inspections and audits when required.
Working Hours and Travel:
  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday.
  • Participation in an on‑call rota is required.
  • The role is primarily based in Dublin; however, occasional travel to regional sites may be required.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a general maintenance or facilities role.
  • Proven experience working in a multi‑site environment.
  • Industrial Electrical Systems – Level 6 qualification.
  • Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work.
  • Ability to work independently, managing priorities across multiple locations.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High level of attention to detail with strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
Desirable· Experience working in a regulated environment such as healthcare, pharmacy, or pharmaceutical settings.· Experience liaising with contractors and managing third‑party service providers.· Familiarity with maintenance ticketing systems.· Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.· Safe Electric certification (an advantage).About McCabes PharmacyMcCabes Pharmacy is one of Ireland's most loved Pharmacy providers, pioneering truly innovative services over the past 40 years.
