If you're ready to take the next step in your career, apply now and become part of the team!The OpportunityThis is an exciting opportunity to become a Data Scientist within Allianz Ireland’s Data Insights Team. We are seeking a talented and driven individual who enjoys working in a fast paced and agile environment. The Data Insights team is responsible for implementing Allianz Ireland’s Data and AI Strategy, with a vision to be the best in class data driven and customer centric insurance company in the Irish market.You will work alongside dedicated team of data scientists, engineers and analysts. We embrace a highly flexible hybrid work model that allows for a balanced work-life integration.Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of Data Science projects across the entire project lifecycle from conception, development through to implementation and monitoring.
  • Understand and assess the data requirements for Data Science and AI Use Cases. Build and maintain data pipelines using latest data engineering techniques.
  • Develop prototypes and proof of concept models to test and determine effectiveness for different business solutions. Experiment and innovate with different Machine Learning and AI models.
  • Leveraging Allianz Group data use cases, look for opportunities to use insights and models across all stakeholder functions
  • Deliver clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, when reporting results. Prepare actionable insight for business stakeholders.
  • Identify optimal performance metrics to monitor ongoing performance of data science models and ensure data pipelines and visualisation tools adequately allow for such monitoring.
  • Ensure all models developed are compliant with EU AI Act and GDPR regulations. Maintain technical documentation and perform data quality control checks to ensure accuracy.
  • Be a Data Science champion within Allianz Ireland: promoting, researching and showcasing the use of Gen AI tools for workforce efficiency.
Key Requirements / Skills & ExperienceEssential:
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Data Science or Analytics role.
  • Experience in data science techniques including statistics, machine learning, and AI.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and/or SQL
  • Degree (or Post graduate qualification) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related discipline.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working in insurance or other financial services sector.
  • Post graduate or professional qualification in data science or related discipline.
  • Experience of data visualisation and/or RPA tools
  • Proficient in working with Microsoft Azure Synapse and/or ML Ops.
