Are you an NPD Specialist/Manager coming from a food background looking for your next opportunity in Meath/Northside of Dublin?Are you a creative person who enjoys presenting to clients?Are you a positive person who enjoys fostering good relationships with suppliers, clients, and your fellow staff?Then read on and if you want to make your mark with a great company who treat their staff really well and who deal with some of the biggest UK retailers this could be the NPD role that you've been waiting for!YOUR NEW JOB/COMPANYMy client is a medium sized food company who supply some of the largest UK retailers such as Asda, Morrisons, The Co Op & Tesco etc.Reporting to the Operations Manager as NPD Manager some of the key elements of your new role will include:

Manage all aspects of NPD on a day-to-day basis.
Ensure that all products launched are in compliance with food safety legislation and are launched on time and within budget.
Deliver new products compliant to the brand and retailer requirements.
Source the necessary raw materials as well as managing the samples that are required for customers.
Manage the innovation pipeline in line with business plans.
Working closely with customers and all internal teams in delivering innovative solutions that are in line with customer expectations.
Liaise with all functions including Sales, Purchasing, Production and Technical as appropriate with the aim of delivering NPD Projects on time and within budget.
Present new ideas and products to the team and to customers.
Manage new product launch activity and support all launches.
Analyse relevant market intelligence and market research to stay ahead of key developments and changes in market requirements.
Deliver against seasonal briefs for customers, source packaging, manage costs.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:You will hold a BSc in Food Science or similar and have 1-3+ years' NPD experience in the food sector. You’ll have strong all round NPD skills and enjoy working autonomously as well as working well as part of the team developing new products.You’ll be well used to delivering to deadlines and have excellent technical, communication & organisational skills.Experience of dealing with UK Multi-Nationals would be desirable but not essential.WHAT IN IT FOR YOU:The NPD Manager job pays €55k + doe plus a bonus along with the opportunity to work in a family owned company where people are treated very well and where there is lots of flexibility available.My client has people working in the company for over 10, 15 and 25 years and their longevity here is a testament to how people are treated so well in this company. The company will also be launching a number of own brand products over the next 6-12 month so you’ll be working on some very interesting upcoming projects and you’ll work closely and get lots of support from the Operations & Technical Managers.
