A leading global innovator in the medical device sector is seeking a Product Manager to join their dynamic team in Dublin City, Ireland. This role focuses on managing and driving the success of product lines within gastroenterology and endoscopy, ensuring alignment with market needs and delivering value to healthcare professionals and patients worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of market trends, clinical practices, and the competitive landscape within the fields of gastroenterology and endoscopy.
- Identify market opportunities and define product requirements and value propositions to align with industry needs.
- Gather structured feedback from distributors, clinicians, and key opinion leaders (KOLs) to inform future R&D projects and enhance product improvements.
- Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned product lines, from concept development to post-market support.
- Manage product-related documentation, clinical claims, and technical specifications in collaboration with R&D and Regulatory Affairs teams.
- Ensure compliance with MDR and MDSAP requirements by maintaining market-appropriate product data, instructions for use (IFUs), and labeling.
- Plan and execute product launches in coordination with Marketing Communication and distribution networks.
- Create sales tools, training materials, and product messaging aligned with the company's global branding strategy.
- Represent the company at key trade shows (e.g., ESGE, UEGW, DDW) and workshops, providing product demonstrations and supporting training sessions.
- Collaborate with distributors to provide product knowledge, clinical updates, and marketing materials tailored to their needs.
- Deliver product and clinical training sessions (both virtual and in-person) to enhance distributor expertise and confidence.
- Monitor distributor performance, collecting feedback to guide portfolio development and priorities.
- Act as the European market representative within the product development team, ensuring alignment between market insights and technical innovation.
- Partner closely with R&D and QA/RA teams in Asia to relay customer requirements and product updates effectively.
- Work with Marketing Communication teams to translate technical information into impactful promotional materials.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field; additional qualifications in marketing or an MBA are advantageous.
- At least 5 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or clinical applications within the medical devices sector (experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology preferred).
- Proven track record of successfully launching and managing medical devices in European markets.
- Strong knowledge of MDR and clinical evidence requirements.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
- Comfortable working in a cross-cultural, geographically distributed environment (Europe-Asia time zones).
- Willingness to travel for exhibitions, distributor meetings, and clinical training, approximately 20-30%.
