This role is ideal for a candidate who can integrate macroeconomic insights into fund research and portfolio strategy, and who excels at producing high-quality, insightful reports that guide investment decisions and client communications.As a member of the Investment Team, your primary responsibility will be fund research and macroeconomic analysis, producing actionable insights that shape portfolio construction, asset allocation, and manager selection. You will play a key role in aligning investment strategies with global macroeconomic trends and delivering clear, impactful reports to internal and external stakeholdersKey Responsibilities:Fund Research & Manager Selection.Participate in the evaluation and selection of investment funds and managers across asset classes.Ensure alignment of fund strategies with macroeconomic views and portfolio objectives.Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence, including performance, risk, and style analysis.Produce detailed fund research reports and recommendations for our investment committee.Macroeconomic Research & StrategyDevelop and maintain macroeconomic views, thematic research, and scenario analyses.Translate economic trends into investment implications across asset classes.Produce regular macroeconomic outlooks and contribute to strategic asset allocation decisions.Reporting & CommunicationCreate high-quality written reports and presentations on macroeconomic trends and fund research.Communicate complex economic and investment concepts clearly to clients, committees, and internal teams.Support client engagement and business development through thought leadership and tailored insights.Portfolio Strategy & OversightContribute to portfolio construction and rebalancing decisions, integrating macro and fund-level insights.Analyze portfolio performance attribution with a focus on macro and manager contributions.Participate in portfolio restructures, incorporating macroeconomic and fund-specific considerations.Governance & CollaborationEnsure all investment recommendations meet internal governance and regulatory standards.Collaborate with internal teams including asset allocation, risk, and client advisory functions.Represent the CIO Office in investment committees and client meetings as a senior economic and fund research voice.Skills and Qualifications:· Degree or Master’s in Economics, Financial Economics, Finance, or a related discipline.· Strong academic and practical grounding in macroeconomic theory and policy analysis.· CFA, CAIA, or progress toward a professional designation is advantageous.· Minimum 5+ years in a senior investment analyst, economist, or fund research role.· Demonstrated expertise in:o Fund and manager research across asset classeso Macroeconomic forecasting and scenario analysiso Investment report writing and presentationo Strategic asset allocation and portfolio constructiono Performance attribution and risk analysis· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with platforms such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, eVestment, or FactSet is highly desirable.Personal Qualities:Strong communicator and writer with the ability to produce impactful, data-driven reports.Strategic thinker with a global economic perspective and a passion for investment research.Collaborative and influential, with a high level of integrity and intellectual curiosity.Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to navigate complex investment environments and evolving client needs.Application Process:If you think you are a good fit for this role, then we invite you to apply.The Company reserves the right to draw up a shortlist as part of the selection process.
