Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to develop practical skills in the construction or trade sector as a general operative assistant.They will gain experience assisting staff in a joinery workshop,on site at various locations for instillation's and will also gain experience in general building works and renovation of existing properties.The participants will receive on the job training in various aspects of the industry and will be supported by a mentor throughout,for example Training will be provided in general construction skills Candidate will gain exposure to the joinery and cabinet making trade and learn skills and knowledge from their mentor Assisting the team in the production of timber products in accordance with client requirements and production plans Experience will be gained in both the workshop and on site at various project locationsRole Description This is a training and work experience opportunity; no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. This optional module will fulfil your accredited training requirements for the WPEP.
