
Construction Project Manager

- Lead and coordinate construction project management teams, ensuring effective delivery across all packages of work.
- Act as the NEC Project Manager under the contract, fulfilling all duties required by the NEC suite (primarily NEC3/NEC4 ECC).
- Manage quality control on site, including inspections, test witnessing, and material approvals.
- Ensure works are carried out in compliance with contract specifications, design drawings, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Monitor construction progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Maintain site records, prepare reports, and support project change control processes.
- Proactively engage with the Contractor to encourage a collaborative working relationship while maintaining contractual compliance.
- Review and comment on Contractor submissions, including Method Statements, Inspection and Test Plans, and Health and Safety Plans.
- Report non-conformances, safety observations, and issues promptly and professionally.
- Support the client and project management teams in risk management, early warning notifications, compensation event assessments, and other NEC processes.
- Relevant degree (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
- Chartered status (e.g., CEng, MCIOB, ChPP) or working towards chartership is preferred.
- Relevant post-graduate experience, with experience in managing large civil engineering / infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of the NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts, particularly the Project Manager role.
- Experience working on transportation, rail, utilities, or large infrastructure projects highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients.
- Commitment to high standards of safety, quality, and environmental management.
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel as required across project locations.
