- Responsible for the maintenance of the quality management system along with the Quality Manager, verification and validation of storage and vehicle temperatures, the HACCP Plan, Quality manual & related documentation.
- Maintain Quality & Procedure and Record Manuals, Specifications & AVL Manual, and HACCP plan and ensuring they are implemented.
- Supplier Approval and Maintaining Customer & Company product specifications.
- Reviewing Packaging and maintaining specifications.
- Conducting Hygiene Audits and liaising with the team to ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Cleaning & Environmental Monitoring Validation.
- Conducting traceability tests & product withdrawal tests.
- Assist/liaise in third party audits in all matters relating to the Quality System e.g. Bord Bia, BRC etc.
- Responsible for obtaining pesticide residue checks and other documentation from suppliers.
- Managing, completing, and maintaining in-house production specifications and supplier specifications.
- Reviewing and approving artwork for product labels and printed packaging.
- Level 7 in Food Science or similar is desired but not essential.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Control, BRC Food Safety and Storage & Distribution Certification, HACCP, Bord Bia, Food Service and Retailer Codes of Practices and food manufacturing is essential.
- Previous experience liaising with external auditors and good working knowledge of BRC Global Standard Food Safety and Storage & Distribution.
- Previous experience in completing product specifications.
- Full driving licence & car is essential.
