
Senior/ Principal Hydrologist

- Deliver high-quality technical reports to support EIAs, environmental licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (Stage I-III).
- Design and manage environmental sampling and monitoring programmes.
- Oversee fieldwork, including groundwater and surface water monitoring, trial pitting, peat probing, and geophysical surveys.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and contribute to recruitment and team development.
- Represent the business as an expert witness, where required, in oral hearings or legal proceedings.
- Lead or support responses to tenders and proposal development.
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline; a postgraduate qualification in Hydrology is desirable.
- 4+ years' (Senior) or 8+ years' (Principal) experience in hydrology or related environmental consultancy.
- Proficient in Flood Risk Assessment methodologies and relevant software.
- Chartered (or working towards) status with a recognised professional body.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and industry best practices.
- Proven experience working on complex infrastructure or renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Full clean driving licence.
