Through them, large electricity customers actively participate in the electricity market to generate revenue in return for providing valuable services that help support the reliability of the power grid.Together with their clients they can provide more power to the grid than some of the country's large power stations. These services are delivered via custom-designed control and communication systems.These state-of-the-art systems are designed to provide the fast frequency response services that are needed to facilitate increased integration of renewable energy on the power grid.Key Responsibilities:As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will take technical ownership of high-level feature requests, and coordinate with an engineering team, in Limerick. You will design and implement features, often spanning multiple components within the backend infrastructure. Core responsibilities include:Engineering solutions to a high level of testability, modularity and maintainabilityParticipation in architecture and design discussionsWorking independently and as an active participant in an agile software development teamSupport and development of junior software engineers by providing advice, coaching and educational opportunities.Improve the DevOps and DevSecOps ability of the teamEssential Requirements:8+ years' experience in designing, developing and scaling software applicationsExperience working with JavaScript backends(Node.js) and JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js)Experience with Cloud Based (AWS) SDLC including Microservices / Containers / Kubernetes, Web API'sOur dev environment is Linux-based so experience here would be an advantageExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishDemonstrable skills in architecting complex ecosystems.Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web securityEvent Driven systemsDesirable:Experience in IOT would be a distinct advantageAWS Administration experience, optimum resource management/securityExperience architecting software frameworksMySQL experiencePython experienceAn interest in emerging software technologies for building Web UI applicationsComfort in both adapting existing systems and creating new systems#LI-DB3
