- Lead and manage a residential centre, ensuring delivery of professional social care practices that support positive outcomes for young people and their families.
- Ensure full compliance with legislation, regulatory standards, and organisational policies.
- Provide strong leadership to the care team, with emphasis on placement planning, staff supervision, and ongoing professional development.
- Maintain a therapeutic and child-centred care environment focused on safety, well-being, and consistent support.
- Oversee and implement training schedules, ensuring all staff are up to date and any additional needs are flagged to senior management.
- Participate in the on-call system and attend scheduled meetings (e.g., SERG, managers’ meetings) to support the wider organisation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain positive working relationships internally and externally.
- Fulfill additional responsibilities as required by senior management to ensure smooth and professional centre operations.
- A Minimum level 7 Social Care Qualification
- Other min level 7 qualifications that may be considered are, Nursing, Teaching, Social Work, Social Science, Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, Psychology.
- Training in Supervision, TCI, Addiction, First Aid, and/or Health & Safety will be considered advantageous.
- A thorough knowledge of Principles and Practice of Social care.
- Understanding of basic management principles
- At least two years’ experience, working at a social care grade with Children
- Full Driving License is essential
- Currently undertaking or holding a CORU-recognised Social Care Qualification
