FRS Recruitment in now inviting applications for the role of Senior Staff Veterinarian (Dairy/Large) for a leading Dairy Processor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.Key Function of the RoleTo maximise the productivity, health and welfare of the Herd by the implementation of herd health programs and provision of veterinary services.Contract: Full time permAREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (AOR)

Identify problems and issues in animal health and breeding.
Investigate those problems and work towards resolving them.
Provide a reproduction palpation service to all sites on a schedule agreed with the Senior Veterinarian.
Provide a 24-hour emergency call-out service to all farms on a schedule agreed with the Senior Veterinarian.
Ensure to collate, analyse and report on health and breeding data from the farm sites.
Conduct training in all areas of animal health and breeding for farm staff
To attend farms for routine palpation and farm check visits, reliably and punctually as required by Senior Veterinarian.
To attend farms for emergency, call out 24 hours a day as per the Vet Group rota, reliably and punctually.
To carry out any surgical procedures that may be required.
To identify health or breeding issues during the scheduled farm visits and to collect relevant information, find a diagnosis and formulate a corrective plan.
To report on health, breeding and any herd health issues on their respective farm sites at the weekly Vet Group meeting.
To assist farm staff in issues relating to the welfare of stock, ensuring that their recommendations are within Vet Group guidelines
To assist farm staff with postmortem examinations as required.
To assist farm staff in assessment and treatment of difficult cases.
To carry out Brucellosis vaccinations on the farm sites as per the vaccination schedule
To assist the Vet Group as required by liaising with the Ministry of Agriculture
To assist the Senior Veterinarian and Veterinary Group Manager as required with administrative tasks
To assist in the conduct of training of farm staff at the request of the Senior Veterinarian
To ensure that company Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times

Remuneration

65,000 Euros Tax Free

98 days annual leave a year. (6 weeks on 2-3 weeks of roster)
6 free flights per year to and from Saudi Arabia
