- Ensuring all HACCP and food safety standards are met, and that all documentation is up to date
- Handling stock and waste control of the Deli products
- Bringing forward new ideas to increase sales and standards within the department
- Managing the day-to-day management of the Deli operations and the employees to improve sales performance
- Supervising employees in various duties such as cooking, serving, packaging, and operating counters
- Managing product storage, maintenance and rotation activities to avoid any damage or spoilage
- Ensuring that products are properly labelled with prices and dates
- Dealing with customer queries to the highest possible standards
- Encouraging an atmosphere of good Customer Service and teamwork within the Deli area
- Completing any back-office administrative duties as required
- Assisting in the preparation of inventory and sales budgets
- Provide training to staff on company policies and sales guidelines.
- Previous experience as a Deli Assistant
- Previous customer service experience
- Exceptional communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
