Job Title: Mechanical Automation Maintenance FitterLocation: Co. WaterfordCompany Overview:
Join a leading food production company with multiple sites across Ireland, the UK, and continental Europe.Biweekly Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts (7am–3:30pm & 3:30pm–11pm, Monday–Friday). Occasional Saturday work required.Salary & Benefits:

Competitive hourly rate (+10% addition for the late shift)
3% pension contribution matched after the probation period
Overtime at time and a half
Training and development opportunities

Responsibilities:

Perform mechanical and automation maintenance on plant machinery to minimise downtime and support production schedules
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair process equipment, controls, and refrigeration systems
Follow work orders and document maintenance tasks using mobile field technology
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company SOPs
Support the development of technical knowledge across all site mechanical equipment

Requirements:

Qualified Mechanical, Automation & Maintenance Fitter with at least 3 years post-apprenticeship experience
Strong experience with industrial machinery, process equipment, automation, and electrical/mechanical installations
Proven problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Full driving licence and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Flexible approach to working hours, including shift work and overtime
