We are excited to offer a new opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join an established and supportive finance team based in Cork. This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit a motivated individual with a strong background in day-to-day accounting processes and a proactive approach to financial operations.This position offers excellent exposure across a wide range of finance functions and would be an ideal fit for someone who has previously worked as an Accounts Assistant in industry or as a Bookkeeper in practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the finance function, contributing to the smooth running of monthly processes, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting.Experience with Sage accounting software is essential, and familiarity with Microsoft Excel is expected.   • Prepare and issue accurate monthly client invoices and statements
  • Provide day-to-day support to the finance team across core accounting functions
  • Monitor accounts receivable, manage credit control, and follow up on outstanding payments
  • Accurately process employee expense claims in a timely manner
  • Assist with weekly cashflow forecasting and monthly management reporting
  • Maintain financial records using Sage and other accounting tools
  • Support ad-hoc finance initiatives and collaborate closely with operations and other departments
Qualifications & Experience:
  • 3+ years experience in an accounts assistant or similar finance role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
  • Solid working knowledge of Sage
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and integrity
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
