- The Team Leader shall assume responsibility for his/her area and be accountable for all aspects of the team's performance. He/she shall act as first point of contact for issues and shall seek resolution by using the skills and resources of the team and minimising the need for further escalation. Working with support functions, he/she shall ensure that the customer needs are met with an emphasis on delighting the customer.
- He/she shall implement schedules, methods and processes, allocate manpower and resources, identify problems and provide solutions and improvements in their respective process.

- Achieve total flexibility within his/her team through multi-skilling and cross training.
- Manage employee rotation in a timely and collaborative manner between different production areas as determined by business needs.
- Assist in setting and achieving team objectives, identify, execute and manage training and development needs within the group and deliver performance reviews as part of the Siemens Performance Management Process.
- Through positive leadership, the Team Leader will be goal focused and serve as a role model for the team, promoting the Siemens values and behaviours.
- By effective use of available resources and manufacturing best practices, meet the production schedules and customer scheduled delivery dates.
- Strive for continuous improvement through his/her support of improvement projects through various project teams. Participation and leadership in the use of 3i, PDCA, 5S, Kaizen , A3 and Six Sigma tools.
- Facilitate process improvements through team activity.
- Through effective feedback and two-way communication, the incumbent shall foster good employee relations.
- Cultivate a high performance, self-directed work ethic amongst teams through people centric leadership style.
- Achieve PKI's for area of responsibility working with relevant teams to succeed.
- Collaborate closely with other team leaders to maintain consistent standards.
- The incumbent will have 4-5 years exposure in a similar manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge and a background in Lean Manufacturing is required.
- Previous experience of people management including performance management is mandatory, Leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, planning, analytical/problem solving skills are also required.
- Be self-motivated and capable of motivating his/her team members to meet the Team and plant objectives.
- The incumbent will have a Leaving Cert or equivalent and a third level qualification is an advantage.
- Knowledge and experience of our Materials/Inventory planning systems is essential.
- SAP experience required.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required.
