RealTime is looking for a Desktop Engineer for a well-known Telco Client in Dublin City to manage & log incidents and requests, resolve technical issues, and escalate to a higher level when unable to resolve them. This role is a 2-year Fixed Term Contract.Job Description:– Resolve PC-related issues through phone support, remote tools, or on-site assistance– Configure, troubleshoot and deploy desktop and laptop applications/hardware– Coordinate desktop/laptop asset recovery and manage spare parts for maintenance, upgrades, and new hires– Oversee Mobile Device Management and handle IP networking (wired and wireless)– Ensure timely completion of incidents and requests within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs)– Maintain daily ticket updates and ensure accurate IT Asset Management (ITAM)– Document processes and steps for recurring issues, contributing to knowledge enhancement within the team and among staff members.Candidate Profile:– Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role– Strong written and oral communication skills– Exceptional organizational skills– Proficient in PC troubleshooting– Capable of independent thinking, effective team coordination, and appropriate escalation when needed– Enthusiastic about IT with a willingness to learn– People-oriented and patient, demonstrating calm and efficient interaction with internal teams and vendors– Hardworking, conscientious, and self-motivated, able to thrive under pressure and deliver resultsApply:– Call: Shane on 01-6520652– Email: shane.doolin@realtime.jobs– You must hold a valid working Visa or an EU passport to be considered– No Sponsorship is provided or supported
