- Key participant in the development of the GSC innovation & business transformation strategy. Leads implementation of strategy at local site by collaborating with global and regional functional and cross functional partners.
- Develops and maintains core and emerging capabilities to set GSC up for Best-in-Class content creation, strategy, and delivery. Capabilities include (but not limited to): regulatory and submission writing; transparency; publication writing, strategy, and planning; structured and component authoring; and data visualization.
- Partners with a team of functional experts to execute the GSC Transformation Map driving continuous improvement of processes and tools to enable strategic capabilities.
- Leads on the design, development, and deployment of automation solutions that align with GSC business goals.
- Responsible for monitoring and continually improving capabilities through the collection and analysis of key metrics, feedback from internal business partners and stakeholders, and engaging with professional organizations.
- Champions and leads initiatives focused on process improvement, automation and innovation in partnership with functional capability leads.
- Drives continuous improvement in technology and process solutions that enable integrated data and analytics capabilities to impact productivity, efficiency gains, and user experience.
- Provides business and operational data analysis and leadership for GSC Cork/Bengaluru Leadership Team.
- Partners across functions for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Within functional and cross-functional teams, adjusts to changing business priorities and needs.
- Monitors the external environment for trends and best practices to grow GSC capabilities. Involved in the development of industry standards through collaborations with external organizations, professional societies (CSE, DIA, ISMPP), regulators, vendors, editorial boards, etc.
- Work to improve existing processes and to implement new processes in accordance with established guidelines, best practices, and in compliance with all laws and regulations.
- Drive continuous improvement of key performance metrics.
- Drive shared learning and process expertise between teams within the organization.
- Shares best practices with the GSC Cork/Bengaluru team related to project management and information systems.
- Provides coaching within the organization that fosters inclusion and innovation, continual improvement, and an external awareness and understanding.
- Effectively create and manage an agile organization that continuously meets the needs of a changing portfolio.
- Build an organizational culture that fosters inclusion and innovation.
- If applicable, recruit, develop, and retain a strategic and operationally capable workforce skilled and knowledgeable in scientific communications.
- Develop staff who demonstrate expertise in tech and automation, drug development, therapeutic area science, strategic thinking, project management and cross-functional leadership.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science, data science, biotechnology or related field.
- 5 years’ experience in medical or document management systems, clinical research or pharmaceutical drug development process.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategies across people, processes, organizations and technology.
- Demonstrated ability to partner across matrixed organization and collaborate with peers locally and globally.
- Experience working across regulatory, clinical, and operational teams to implement scalable solutions.
- Proven track record in identifying automation opportunities, reducing manual effort, and applying AI or digital tools to streamline workflows.
- Bachelor’s or Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MBA) in a healthcare or scientific field
- Strong knowledge of the creation and delivery of regulatory, publication, commercialization and/or healthcare communication plans
- Six Sigma and/or Project management experience
