PE Global are currently recruiting for a Structural Steel Detailer to join our client, a leading engineering company working with the Pharmaceutical & Bio Pharma Industry.Our client brought together the expertise, the team, the craftsmanship and the facilities, to deliver the most challenging of stainless-steel projects. Since 2001, we have been developing innovative high-end solutions for cleanrooms & hygienic environments, architectural metalwork purposes and production & manufacturing sites across Ireland, the UK and internationally.General Roles & Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be designing structural platforms and stairs and/or high-end furniture for the Bio Pharmaceutical industry.
Prepare drawings for steel fabrication and installation processes
Create detailed drawings using Advance Steel /Tekla Structures for multiple steel assemblies
Examine and review structural plans and engineering drawings, ensuring all details align with project specifications and required industry standards
Liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
Isolate and resolve potential design problems before they escalate
Participate in project meetings to discuss technical issues required
Manage record keeping including up-to-date records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation
Support in the preparation of material take-offs and fabrication lists
Liaise with Site Installers to always ensure smooth Installation of job
Be aware of the design budget for each project and can work within that budget
Communicate / Liaise with External Design Contractors (if any are being used) on a particular job
Ensure compliance with all ISO9000, EN1090 & CE marking related paperwork.
Ensure compliance with all E,H&S legislative requirements throughout the job process.
The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated ability to take projects from design to completion and final account stage
5+ years experience in steel detailing in Advance Steel /Tekla Structures and managing complex projects
Show ambitious and ingenuity, and have the ability to work on their own initiative as well as being a team player capable of mentoring and coaching colleagues
Have excellent attention to detail in conjunction with strong IT, communication, project and time management skills
Proven experience in designing structural steel components and assemblies
Solid understanding of steel fabrication processes and standards
Demonstrable aptitude to decipher technical drawings, and specifications
Strong detail-oriented mindset and precision required
Good communication skills and comfortable working alone or with a team.
