My client based in Bagenalstown, Carlow is a well-respected retail business supplying the local community, tradesmen, and builders with a huge choice of products for DIY, Hardware, Building, heating, plumbing, painting, gardening and more!!They are adding to their busy Trade Counter team and are recruiting a full-time Trade Counter Sales Assistant.Salary & Benefits: €35k-€45k, negotiable must reflect experience, Pension Contribution and Generous Staff Discount.The ideal candidate will come from a trade counter.Most importantly I am looking for a bubbly, enthusiastic and sales driven person with an excellent work ethic; someone who loves customers, enjoys selling and who wants to progress in a well-established business.As a Trade Counter Salesperson:

You will have excellent product knowledge of building materials and the trade to grasp a good understanding of your customers’ requirements and offer the best advice
You will be extremely customer focused, always going the extra mile to resolve any issues or queries in a prompt and efficient manner
You will handle cash and issue sales invoices
You will be very sales and target driven, always offering alternatives for out-of-stock items, and looking for opportunities to upsell
You will process orders and arrange delivery always keeping the customer updated on any stock or delivery issues
You will have an excellent phone manner to deal with sales queries over the phone
