- Preparation of monthly management accounts and board reports and related expenditure and trend and variance analysis
- Prepare a detailed commentary reflecting underlying business activities to accompany the monthly financial accounts
- Responsible for Preparing the annual budgets and forecasts and provide financial guidance and advice to Budget Managers to ensure their financial results are properly managed and controlled
- Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations and related financial controls
- Prepare the monthly and annual consolidation submissions for the relevant Government Departments
- Assist the Finance Manager in preparing the annual report and accounts
- Lead the external audit process (both Interim and Final) ensuring that the external auditors are provided with all relevant information in a timely and efficient manner
- Manage and oversee the Fixed Asset Register
- Approve of VAT and Intrastat returns
- Assist with the preparation of the annual five year Corporate Plan and related financial modelling
- Assist with other ad-hoc duties and project work as directed
- Manage the payroll function ensuring that all payrolls are accurately completed in accordance with the payroll schedules
- Lead and direct the Payroll Specialist and the Accounts Assistant in their day to day operational roles and responsibilities
- Qualified Accountant or Finalist level with professional exams in ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CPA
- Have at least 2 years’ relevant experience in industry
- Understanding of tax, revenue and data management regulations and obligations
- Ability to present facts clearly and objectively with strong analytical skills
- Advanced understanding of financial accounts preparation to consolidated stage
- Thorough working understanding of costing and management accounting principles
- Experience in using a fully integrated ERP financial system
- Some exposure to Payroll and staff supervisory experience an advantage
- Advanced Microsoft desktop application skills
