Ward Catering Assistant – Patient-Facing Healthcare | Tullamore & Midlands3Q Recruitment is recruiting Ward Catering Assistants to support meal and beverage services on hospital and healthcare wards in Tullamore and across the wider Midlands.These are ward-based, patient-facing roles, suited to candidates who are comfortable working in clinical environments and who understand the importance of dignity, hygiene and accuracy when delivering food services in healthcare settings.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver meals and beverages to patients on hospital and healthcare wardsSet up, distribute and clear meal trays and service trolleysSupport accurate meal service in line with dietary requirementsFollow infection control, hygiene and food safety procedures at all timesCommunicate effectively with nursing, catering and ward teamsMaintain clean, organised and safe ward service areasRequirementsExperience in healthcare, catering, hospitality or service-based rolesComfortable working directly with patients in clinical environmentsStrong awareness of hygiene, infection control and food safety standardsLegal right to work in IrelandGarda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16Ability to provide five years of work history or referencesReliable, respectful and professional approach to workPay & Benefits€17.53 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank HolidaysDaytime and rostered shifts availableMonday–Sunday roster depending on service requirementsStructured and well-supported healthcare environmentsOngoing training and role supportOpportunities for longer-term placements
