We are seeking a dedicated Senior Social Care Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people with intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, and autism.
The role focuses on meeting the practical, physical, and emotional needs of those supported, promoting independence, and supporting individuals to achieve their full potential across residential, training, and day service settings.Key Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred care and support in line with individual needs and care plans
- Coordinate shifts and provide on-the-floor leadership
- Supervise and support team members during shifts
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Report to the Person in Charge and deputise when required
- Level 7 qualification on the National Framework of Qualifications in Social Care, Social Work, Youth Work, Nursing, Teaching, Childcare (with disability modules), or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working in residential, respite, or day services supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities
- CORU registration, or in the process of obtaining registration
- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
