Reports to: Design ManagerOptimize Recruitment is partnering with a leading off‑site manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Tekla Structural Detailer for their specialist modular manufacturing team. The company delivers turn‑key cleanroom modules, data centre modules, utility plantrooms/skids and pre‑assembled service racks for major clients across the pharmaceutical, data centre and advanced manufacturing sectors.These off‑site manufactured modules typically include:
  • Steel / aluminium structural frames
  • Internal & external architectural finishes
  • Mechanical & electrical installations
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will have strong experience in structural detailing for off‑site manufactured or modular construction systems. The role combines office‑based structural modelling with factory‑floor inspections to ensure all fabrication aligns with structural design and engineering standards.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop modular structural concepts, preliminary drawings and specifications during tender stage
  • Work closely with architects, contractors and multi‑disciplinary engineering teams
  • Produce detailed fabrication drawings, material schedules and cut lists for shop-floor production
  • Conduct factory-floor inspections to confirm compliance with structural and fabrication requirements
  • Review submittals, shop drawings and technical documentation
  • Support feasibility studies, constructability reviews and risk assessments
  • Stay current with modern structural engineering methods, materials and relevant software tools
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Relevant 3rd‑level design/engineering qualification (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Tekla Structures, Tekla Structural Designer & Tekla Tedds
  • Experience with BIM tools such as Revit
  • Knowledge of steel, concrete and composite structural design, including seismic & wind loading
  • Familiarity with international building codes and industry standards
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
