To safely and efficiently operate a rigid truck for the collection and delivery of recyclable materials from commercial and residential sites, ensuring all tasks are completed in compliance with company standards and legal requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate rigid vehicles to collect and deliver recyclable waste.Follow scheduled routes and report any delays or issues to dispatch.Load and unload recyclable materials using proper manual handling techniques or lifting equipment.Complete vehicle checks (pre-trip and post-trip) and report defects immediately.Maintain accurate records of collections, deliveries, and mileage.Comply with all road traffic laws and waste transport regulations.Ensure cleanliness and basic maintenance of the vehicle.Act as a representative of the company when dealing with customers and the public.Report incidents, accidents, or damage promptly.Assist in other duties within the recycling depot if required.RequirementsEssential:Valid and clean C (Rigid) Driving Licence.Valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence).Valid Digital Tachograph Card.Good knowledge of local and regional road networks.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Basic understanding of recycling operations and safety practices.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Physically fit – able to lift and move materials safely.Desirable:Previous experience in waste or recycling transport.Manual handling training.Knowledge of environmental regulations related to waste transport.Working ConditionsEarly starts and variable shift patterns, including occasional weekends or public holidays.Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.Physical work involving lifting, bending, and prolonged periods of driving.#EXLCORYour Name RequiredYour Email RequiredPhoneYour CV Required.
