CREGG are seeking an experienced and ambitious Financial Controller to join our client's growing team based in Shannon, Clare. This is a full-time onsite position. The Financial Controller will play a key role in financial reporting, cost analysis, and supporting business growth within a design and manufacturing services environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close process, including journals, reconciliations, and preparation of management reporting packs.
- Maintain and reconcile key financial areas including Fixed Assets, Prepayments, Accruals, Customer Deposits, and Net Wages.
- Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions.
- Oversee bank and credit card transactions, including monthly reconciliations.
- Prepare and manage weekly cashflow reports and forecasts.
- Manage revenue returns and correspondence, including VAT and PREM.
- Produce regular and ad hoc financial reports and performance metrics.
- Take a hands-on role in managing weekly and monthly cash flow.
- Develop cashflow plans and analyse performance against sales forecasts.
- Collaborate closely with the CEO on cash planning and sales forecasting.
- Ensure robust financial controls and processes are in place and maintained.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and system implementations, including ERP projects.
- Minimum Level 8 degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional accounting qualification required.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience in an accounting role, ideally within a design, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of financial and management accounting principles.
- Strong IT and systems skills, including experience with ERP implementations.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, as well as part of cross-functional teams.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
