Catering Assistant – Wicklow | Healthcare Catering Role3Q Recruitment is recruiting Catering Assistants to support a busy healthcare facility in Wicklow, helping deliver safe, efficient and high-quality food services to patients and staff.This is a frontline healthcare catering role, ideal for candidates with experience in catering, kitchen support or food service who are seeking daytime shifts, consistent work and long-term opportunities within healthcare.The RoleWorking as part of a healthcare catering team, you will support the preparation, service and delivery of meals, ensuring high standards of hygiene, food safety and patient care are maintained at all times.This is a structured role within a regulated environment, offering stability and clear daily routines.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and serve meals and beverages to patients and staffDeliver meals to wards and assist patients during mealtimesMaintain high standards of cleanliness across kitchens, equipment and utensilsFollow HACCP, food safety and infection control proceduresStock, label and rotate ward pantry suppliesWork closely with catering teams and ward staff to ensure smooth service deliveryRequirements6–12 months’ experience in catering, kitchen or food service rolesHealthcare catering experience is an advantageKnowledge of HACCP and food safety standardsLegal right to work in IrelandAbility to provide 5 years of verifiable work referencesReliable, flexible and a strong team playerGood communication skillsGarda Vetting is mandatory for relevant roles.International Police Clearance is required where a candidate has lived or worked outside Ireland for 6 months or more since the age of 16Pay & Benefits€17.53 per hourDouble pay on Sundays and Bank HolidaysDaytime shifts only (typically 7:00am – 6:30pm)Flexible roster within a healthcare settingOngoing support from office and out-of-hours teamsOpportunity to progress from temporary to permanent rolesTraining and development opportunities
