We will work with you to meet your needs.Join Our Team and Make a Difference!Care Worker- Ref 15692Permanent Part Time Contract, 20 hoursTullamore Residential ServicesTullamore, Co OffalyJob PurposeTo provide a personal care service to individuals with Intellectual Disability and Mental Health Difficulties within a high support residential service setting, in an environment which values and respects the individual, fosters a positive behavioral support approach to supporting people with challenging behaviors and an environment that fosters community based living, personal development and social inclusionWhat we're looking for:Minimum of QQI Level 5 in Social Care, or equivalentTraining in responses to behavior that challenges and medication managementExperience of working with people with a disability.Understand the principles of care and how to put them into practice.Specialist Knowledge in Autism, Intellectual Disability, Epilepsy, and Down SyndromeUnderstanding of Safeguarding & ConfidentialityEffective Communication SkillsYour Responsibilities
  • Person-Centred Support, Deliver care and activities tailored to each individual's needs, wishes, and preferences
  • Provide personal assistance in all aspects of personal care and manual handling, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and safety.
  • Ensure that all interactions with service users are approached with dignity, respect, equality, and incorporating choice.
  • Actively participate in educational, recreational, and occupational programmes, enabling community inclusion.
  • Promote and be actively involved in teamwork, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for service users.
Closing Date: 20th April 2026Salary starting from point 1 € 30,942.78 to point 5 € 35,277.12(pro rata), is subject to negotiation depending on experience and qualification, plus Sleepover allowance and premium pay for bank Holiday and Sunday Shift.What we Offer:
