Optimize Recruitment, working closely with our client, are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a growing energy contractor delivering projects across Ireland.This is a primarily office-based role in Waterford City, working closely under a Senior Quantity Surveyor, with regular involvement across multiple live projects nationwide.You will gain strong exposure across the full commercial lifecycle, from early-stage cost planning through to final account, within a structured and supportive environment. Following an initial onboarding period, hybrid working will be available.Salary & Benefits

- Support Senior QS in managing project costs from start to final account
- Assist with subcontractor payments, valuations, and variation assessments
- Prepare and review cost reports, forecasts, and financial tracking
- Contribute to procurement of subcontractors and supplier packages
- Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities and pricing documentation
- Monitor project budgets and highlight any commercial risks early
- Liaise with site teams and attend meetings when required
- Support contract administration across live projects
- Provide commercial input across multiple projects simultaneously
- Assist in maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting systems
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
- 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role, ideally in Ireland or UK
- Experience working with a contractor or similar environment
- Strong understanding of cost control and commercial processes
- Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously
- Good knowledge of standard forms of contract (RIAI, FIDIC, etc.)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
