The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of the regional engineering team catering primarily for the EMEA market. This is an opportunity to become a key part of the ongoing success of one of Ireland's leading engineering companies.KEY ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provide strong leadership in planning, executing, and delivering project design packages, ensuring adherence to specifications along with safety and quality standards.Identify how engineering can contribute to the achievement of the company's strategic initiatives. Determine which areas can be improved to drive efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.Collaborate with global engineering teams to ensure alignment of design packages and standardization of product offerings to streamline design and manufacturing processesAct as a point of escalation for resolving issues that may arise during project execution to ensure smooth project delivery. This will require collaboration with project management, production and the site service departments.Demonstrate strong leadership qualities in managing the core engineering department of the group in planning, executing and delivering project design packages on time, ensuring adherence to specifications along with safety and quality standards.Deliver a culture of high productivity within the organisation, ensuring that activities are cost-effective and that the levels of resources are managed effectively.Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the design department and seek feedback from stakeholders, monitor industry trends, and explore new technologies and techniques to enhance our Vertiv/E&I productsFoster a collaborative work environment that encourages growth, accountability, and a sense of pride in the team's accomplishments.Ensure quarterly reviews are carried out for employees to monitor personal development of team membersDevelop methods to measure department performance and create KPIs to present to upper managementLiaise with human resources to support the development of employees within the organisationFamiliarize yourself with the company's long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives.
