An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced NPD Technologist to lead and deliver new product development and product renovation projects within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through to commercial launch, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in full compliance with Irish, EU, and relevant export market food safety and regulatory standards.What’s on Offer:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional NPD projects from initial brief to commercial launch.
  • Coordinate activities across R&D, Technical, Operations, Procurement, Quality, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and critical paths.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Chair project meetings and provide structured updates to stakeholders.
Food Safety, Quality & Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and customer-specific requirements.
  • Collaborate with Technical and Quality teams to support audits and maintain robust documentation and change control processes.
  • Ensure accurate product specifications, HACCP reviews, allergen management, shelf-life validation, and compliant labelling.
  • Maintain compliance with Irish and EU food legislation.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive improvements in NPD systems, processes, and project governance.
  • Monitor post-launch performance and support issue resolution.
  • Contribute to innovation pipelines and long-term product strategy.
Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in an NPD or Project Management role within food manufacturing.
  • Strong working knowledge of the BRC Global Standard for Food Safety and its application in NPD and product change management.
  • Solid understanding of food manufacturing processes and commercialisation.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related discipline.
  • Project management experience desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Irish and EU food regulations.
