- Lead business development efforts with pharmaceutical companies, building strategic relationships across various stakeholder groups including Patient Access, Medical Affairs, Health Outcomes, Commercial Excellence, Marketing, and Policy teams.
- Cultivate existing pharmaceutical and healthcare client relationships, while maintaining a strong focus on identifying new opportunities and expanding OpenSky's client base in these industries.
- Proactively identify, initiate, and develop new strategic relationships, opportunities, and market directions, extending OpenSky's reach within Pharma beyond existing clients.
- Lead negotiations for contracts covering consulting services, fixed-price development, and managed services agreements
- Work closely with OpenSky's expert consultants in areas such as Digital & Cloud Automation, Application Modernisation, and AI-driven solutions tailored to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries.
- Assist in developing and executing strategic marketing campaigns and events, showcasing the value of OpenSky's solutions in addressing challenges unique to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
- Collaborate with the Tender Bid team to create compelling proposals and tender responses, leveraging insights gained through your engagement with clients.
- Travelling throughout Ireland and Europe in order to cultivate client relationships is a key requirement of this role.
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience in roles focused on pharmaceutical and healthcare markets. Suitable backgrounds may include professional services sales, Pharma sales, patient advocacy, market access, medical affairs, health policy, or commercial excellence roles.
- Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining relationships with senior executives in the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a highly competitive environment.
- A constructive sales approach, grounded in transparency and trust.
- Deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory, operational, and digital transformation trends.
- High-level understanding of digital technologies in healthcare (e.g., analytics dashboards, AI-driven patient engagement) is beneficial; detailed technical knowledge is not required.
- Ability to articulate OpenSky's success stories and translate technical solutions into compelling business benefits for clients.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Technical) to deliver exceptional value to clients.
- Ability to maximise the quality and flow of information from customers back to the business to support the sales and tender processes.
- Must be an EU passport holder.
- Requirement to travel to meet pharmaceutical clients across Ireland and Europe.
- Own transport is required.
