Established almost 50 years ago, our client is a very successful retail operation with multiple stores across the country.Due to continued expansion, they are now recruiting for a new IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team in Co Meath. This is an exceptional opportunity to take a leading role in the IT direction of the organisation.Some of your responsibilities will include:

Build and shape the IT infrastructure ecosystem ensuring integration across all stores.
Provide support and respond to all technical issues as they arise.
Install, configure, maintain, and support the systems.
Make recommendations to enhance and improve the infrastructure.
Be a change manager for the department.
Travel to individual stores as necessary to ensure IT efficiency.
Ensure cost-effective solutions by liaising with third-party vendors.
Manage software platforms and infrastructure components.

Some of your background and skills should include:

Strong knowledge of SAN Storage, MS Office, Windows operating systems, and Active Directory.
Familiarity with complex Microsoft 365 deployments, integration, and administration.
Background in System Administration or similar.
Knowledge of antivirus & EDR solutions.
Experience creating and maintaining SOPs.
Familiar with ITIL and ISO 20000.
Knowledge of data reliability and recovery.
Some experience with Cloud solutions, network management and Visio diagrams would be beneficial, although not essential.
Comfortable working in an autonomous role while reporting directly to senior management
Always looking for ways to improve systems and staying up to date with the latest technology
