C&D Foods has 9 production facilities across 7 Countries (Ireland, the UK, France, Denmark, Austria, Spain, and The Netherlands) and 2 sales offices located in Manchester and Italy.C&D Foods’ Headquarters is in Mullingar, county Westmeath.At C&D Foods Edgeworthstown we have a requirement for a Shift Mechanical Technician working on a Continental Shift Pattern (12hr Shifts) See shift Pattern outlined belowKey ResponsibilitiesUndertake maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of all Production Machinery and Plant Services i.e. Repair of Components, Overhauls, Sensors, Steam, Air, Water, De-bugging of systems, etc. Experience working with fluids, pumps, valves, controllers, packing equipment would be advantageous.Hours of work:The shifts are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am. The shift cycle would be as follows:Week 1 – In Monday and Tuesday, Off Wednesday, and Thursday and In Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.Week 2- Off Monday and Tuesday, In Wednesday and Thursday and Off Friday, Saturday and Sunday.Personal Competencies:

Qualifications:

Candidates should be qualified to Senior Trades level, or comparable European NFQ qualifications, and / or NCEA Cert. Diploma in an Mechanical discipline. FETAC Level 6 Accreditation or equivalent but not limited to Solas apprenticeship, City & Guilds apprenticeship or higher.
