Please visit our website:Job DescriptionThe Project Manager will act as the Contracting Entity's representative, taking responsibility for managing the project from planning and design through to the successful completion and commissioning of the project. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the project to time, to budget and to specification, ensuring the project achieves all project goals and objectives in accordance with the Contracting Entity's employer's requirements and the corporate strategic intent for the portfolio.Programme Requirements, Standards & PerformanceOversee and monitor the delivery of the project around schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract and risk, liaising with the relevant team members and functions as requiredDevelop the Project Execution Plan, ensuring the project is aligned to and delivers in accordance with the Contracting Entity's standards and methodsEngage with and manage the project relationship with the Transformation Manager.Project Management ActivitiesLead the coordination of the project ensuring interfaces are considered and addressed at all stages of the project lifecycleMaintain the Responsible / Accountable / Consulted / Informed task trackerWork with the technical teams in coordinating and managing the design consultants and other external service providersOrganise the appropriate design review meetings and be responsible for communicating design acceptance to the ContractorBe responsible for communicating design changes to relevant members of the project team and stakeholders who may be impactedReport monthly on the tasks throughout the project's lifecycle including construction works (during the construction phase) that have been undertakenMaintain the overall project risk register and update at monthly progress meetingsIdentify opportunities to improve Project Management procedures, templates and products referring ideas to the appropriate line managerMonitor and apply performance management techniquesManage the change control processManage the flow of project information between the team and the client, through regular meetings and written communicationsNEC Specific Activities (where applicable)Review and accept programme submissionsLead and act in the spirit of mutual trust and co-operationCommunicate and issue documents as required by the ECC and perform any other duties as stated in the contractCarry out the duties as the Project Manager as required by the Contracting Entity's contract for the Programme, maintaining close contact with the Client in order to ensure the Project Manager's actions reflect the Contracting Entity's objectives for the projectManage the compensation event process so that the Contractor is fairly compensated for any Contracting Entity- initiated change on the projectEnsure the Contractor notifies compensation events in good time so that the Contracting Entity is not disadvantagedAssess payment after each assessment intervalQualificationsMinimum 10 years experience in the Construction / Infrastructure sector including on relevant aviation and/or other related projects of a similar size and complexityUnderstanding of operating in a siteExperience of operating on site, not just office basedTangible experience of documenting best practice construction project management policies and standards.Track record of delivering construction/asset delivery projects to time and within allocated budget;Knowledge of operating as a client's project managerExperience of dealing with a range of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation influencing the improvement of process and guidance to support project delivery.Skills:Managing a multidisciplinary teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to govern and drive outcomes to ensure project outputs that meet required standardsKnowledge of NEC and FIDIC suite of contractsKnowledge of Engineering and Project Management PrinciplesPlanning capability and ability to use Oracle Primavera 6 scheduling systemKnowledge of Policies and Procedures implementationAbility to make decisions and demonstrate the logic in reaching those decisions where requiredReport writing skillsComputer literacyAdditional InformationWhat we offer you:
