Our client, a leading organization in the investment banking sector, is embarking on an exciting cloud adoption journey and is on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Google Cloud Engineer to join their dynamic team!What You'll Do:As a Senior Google Cloud Engineer, you'll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud platform. Your collaborative spirit will shine as you work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and secure solutions that meet our business needs.Key Responsibilities:

Partner with IT colleagues in Information Security, Networks, and Infrastructure to design and maintain Google Cloud infrastructure.
Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD DevSecOps tools.
Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure high availability and performance.
Collaborate with Information Security to implement security best practices, including access control and data encryption.
Work with development teams to seamlessly integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems.
Stay current with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices.
Participate in evaluating and selecting new cloud-based technologies and services.
Contribute to enhancing cloud operations and processes.

What We're Looking For:

Extensive experience as a Cloud Engineer specifically in Google Cloud Platform.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including networking, storage, and security.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools like Google Cloud DevOps, Cloud Build, GitHub Enterprise, and GitLab.
Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform.
Solid knowledge of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
Scripting experience with languages like PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities with a knack for clear documentation.
Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, is a plus.
Relevant Google Cloud certifications are a bonus!
Familiarity with other Cloud Service Providers, particularly Microsoft Azure, will certainly give you an edge!
